Posted

NASHVILLE — Henry County Clerk Donna Craig was named the Outstanding County Clerk of the Year Tuesday night at the 50th  Annual County Officials Association of Tennessee.
The award was voted on by her fellow County Clerks from all across Tennessee. Announcing the award was Country Music Star Pam Tillis.

Craig’s husband, Tuffy and sons Paige and Dallas surprised her and were there to watch her receive the award.
Tuffy Craig told WENK/WTPR, “It was a great evening. She was so happy, she was shaking. She had no idea we were there. She just started crying when she saw us.”
The award was announced on the last night of the conference, which was held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville.
Also in attendance to see Craig win the award were former Henry County Clerk Jerry Bomar and former Gibson County Clerk Diane Taylor, with whom Craig worked before she moved to Henry County.
