Heroes Against Hunger Virtual Marathon

A month-long virtual event benefits the Carroll County Carl Perkins Child Abuse Prevention Center. Citizens are challenged to walk or run 26 miles during the month of November. Registration fee is a canned food donation, and participants have the option to donate again for each mile. To register, find the link on the Healthy Carroll County Facebook page or get a form at one of the drop-off sites. Sites include: McKenzie—City Hall or Carroll Bank; Huntingdon—Carroll Bank; Clarksburg—First Bank; Bruceton/Hollow Rock—First Bank; Atwood/Trezevant—City Hall. Donations will be tallied weekly and results posted on the Facebook page. The town with the most donated items will be the winner. Post and tag photos with #HealthyCarrollCounty for chances to win weekly prizes. For more information, contact John Roberts at jroberts@carroll.tn.org or Robyn Hatler, public health educator, at robyn.hatler@tn.gov.
