HUNTINGDON — A two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening, June 11 injured three when a Chevy driven by Taylor Aikens of Shelbyville pulled out of Walmart’s parking lot striking a Chevy SUV driven by Melinda Wylie of Kenton causing the SUV to roll over onto its top.
Huntingdon Fire and Rescue assisted in removing Wylie and two passengers Mary and Melvin Hill from the SUV. All three were reported injured with both Hills being transported to Baptist Hospital by ambulance.
According to the report filed by Officer Devon White, Aiken advised as he was pulling out of Walmart’s parking lot he looked both ways but failed to look back to the left and admitted striking the vehicle as he pulled out into the road. The report indicated a contributing factor to the accident was failure to yield right of way. No charges were filed in the incident.
