HUNTINGDON (October 22) The Huntingdon Town Council met in a brief session with only one item on the agenda. Councilmembers approved a resolution authorizing the Town of Huntingdon to participate in the Public Entity Partners’ Property Conservation Matching Grant Program.
According to Mayor Dale Kelley, the program is offered through the Public Entity Partner’s Insurance program and qualifying amount is based on the total insured property value.

“Based on our total insured value, we should be eligible for up to approximately a $4,000 matching grant.” Said Kelley. “ This grant will be used for security cameras at the Public Works Department and security cameras and security lights at Kelley Sports Complex.”
In other council news, Mayor Kelley announced Baptist Memorial Home Care and Hospice has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall patient satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20 percent of all eligible SHP clients for the 2018 calendar year.
Kelley also announced the Trunk or Treat event by area churches, business, and clubs is on the Court Square Halloween night from 6:00-8:00. With nothing else on the agenda, the council adjourned and is scheduled to meet again Tuesday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m.
