HUNTINGDON (September 6) — The Huntingdon Mustangs earned their third dominating win in as many contests in this early season as they won 56-14 over the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Tigers.
Huntingdon’s Devin McClerkin ran back the opening kickoff for the first points of the game. Brandon Lawton added the two-point conversion for an early lead of 8-0.
Huntingdon, just as in earlier contests, scored often in the contest, running up a 50 to 0 score by half. The second half was filled with substitute players, who earned valuable playing time.
Hunter Ensley’s pass to Brandon Lawton earned a TD at the 8:49 mark. Ensley punched in a three-yard rush for a TD at the 3:44 mark, and Lawton added a TD with 39 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
Malek Cannon added at TD at the 9:46 mark in the second quarter and Austin Baker added the two-poimt conversion. Then Cannon had a pick 6 of a Tigers’ pass to at the 6:46 mark in the second quarter.
