HUNTINGDON (January 31) – It was Homecoming at Huntingdon High School on Friday, January 31 in which senior Adyn Swenson earned her 1,000th career point and was crowned Homecoming queen during halftime of the men’s game. However, it was the unsuspected win by Central Tigers over the Mustangs that took some of the excitement from the home team’s Homecoming. The final score was Tigers 70 and Mustangs 64.Huntingdon Fillies claimed an easy victory over the neighboring Lady Tigers by a score of 68 to 19.
The Fillies were led by Brooklyn Williams with 14 points, including two three-pointers. Adyn Swenson had 11, including one three-pointer, Brooke Butler had 9, Tyasia Reed had 8, Kamaya Harris and Kyleigh Carter each had 5, Lia Fuller and Addison Postlethwait had four each, Greenlee Sharp and Kaylan Belew had 3 each, and Shelby Childress had 2.
The Lady Tigers scored 3, 8, 4, and 4 in the respective quarters. Malone Clements led all scorers with 13, including 11 free throws. Mya Harris had 4, Taleiguh Wadley and Sophie Bratton had 1 each.
