License Violation, Speeding — A Huntingdon man was arrested during a March 24 traffic stop.
Gerald Thomas Stevens, 50, was charged with driving on a revoked license (sixth offense) and speeding. According to the report by Officer Devon White, he pulled over a brown Ford Ranger driven by Stevens for 45 mph in a 35 mph zone on Buena Vista Road. When asked, Stevens told White that he did not have a driver’s license, and a computer check revealed that Stevens’ license had been revoked for DUI and that he had five prior offenses for driving on a revoked license. Stevens’ vehicle was seized, and Stevens was taken to the Carroll County Jail for booking.
Public Intoxication — A McKenzie man was arrested March 21 in the parking lot of Walmart in Huntingdon.
Jeremy D. Russell, 35, was charged with public intoxication. According to the police report, the HPD received a call from Walmart stating that a man was driving around in the store parking lot and slamming on his brakes. It was also stated that the man was digging around in a garbage can. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Russell laying in the floorboard of his vehicle, digging under the seats. Officers observed that Russell was acting very strangely and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant.
