HUNTINGDON (July 6) - Drug, License Violations — Brittany Dawn Layhew, 35, of Huntingdon was charged with driving on a suspended license, and Dinesha C. Pearson, 30, of Huntingdon was charged with possession of a schedule II drug and arrested for an active warrant during a June 22 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
According to the reports by Officers Zachery Barker and Labe Ezell, they pulled over a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Layhew due to prior knowledge that Layhew’s license was suspended. Layhew gave officers consent to search the vehicle and during that search, officers found around five marijuana cigarettes/roaches in the passenger floorboard and about 0.5 grams of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine in a pocketbook belonging to Pearson, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Pearson told officers that she had received the meth as payment from someone who owed her money. A computer check showed that Pearson had an active arrest warrant out of Williamson County.
License Violation, Speeding — Jacoby Tarrell Haynie, 23, of Huntingdon was cited for driving on a suspended license (first offense) and speeding during a June 16 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Brad Allen, he stopped a vehicle driven by Haynie after clocking the vehicle at 51 mph in a 35 mph zone on Buena Vista Road. A computer check showed that Haynie license was suspended.
Vandalism — Stacey R. Kee, 48, was charged with vandalism up to $1,000 following a June 10 incident at a Huntingdon business.
According to the report by Officer Zachery Barker, he responded a call about a man trying to get a minor female out of a vehicle outside Cornerstone Eatery. Upon arrival, Barker spoke to Martha Renfroe, who said that Kee damaged the driver’s side window of her vehicle while trying to get his daughter (Renfroe’s granddaughter) out of the vehicle during an altercation. Damage was estimated at $205.30. Kee came to the HPD on June 11 and received his citation for the offense.

Shoplifting — Frank Soliz was recently charged with theft under $1,000 for allegedly stealing items from Walmart in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Zachery Barker, he received a call from Walmart security on June 11 stating that Soliz, who had been caught on camera shoplifting back in April, had entered the store. Soliz was stopped by store security and advised to contact the Carroll County Jail regarding a booking and processing date.
Public Intoxication — William Audrine Hollowell, 59, of Huntingdon was charged with public intoxication on June 25 at a Huntingdon residence.
According to the report by Officer Brad Allen, he responded to 144 Drew Court and found Hollowell laying on the ground, and the woman who lives at that residence said she wanted him to leave. While speaking with Hollowell, Allen detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage, and Hollowell was unable to stand on his feet and his speech was slurred. Hollowell refused to sign the citation, so a bond of $250 was added. Hollowell was checked out by emergency medical responders, but he refused medical care.
License, Driving Violations — Derrick Lenell Tynes, 26, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was cited for speeding, driving on a suspended license, and violation of financial responsibility law during a June 25 traffic stop in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Aaron Patton, he pulled over a gray Dodge Dart driven by Tynes after clocking the vehicle at 86 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 22 South. A status check showed that Tynes’ license was suspended, and he was unable to provide proof of insurance.
