Theft, Drug Paraphernalia — Elfy McCorry, 53, of Huntingdon was charged with theft of property under $1,000 (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia on July 25 in Huntingdon.
According to the report by Officer Labe Ezell, he responded to a call about a shoplifter at Walmart in Huntingdon. The suspect (McCorry) fled from the scene but was apprehended by officers shortly thereafter. McCorry allegedly took alcoholic beverages, kitchen faucet filters, and a face mask from the store without paying for them. Ezell also noted McCorry had been observed by Walmart personnel taking a pack of razor blades from the store on July 17. McCorry told officers he took the items because he is homeless. A glass pipe with methamphetamine residue and a torch lighter were found in McCorry’s possession. McCorry was transported to the Carroll County Jail, and his bail was set at $1,000.
