Shoplifting — Two women were arrested for shoplifting at Walmart on Feb. 8 by Lt. Angie Barker.
The store’s security personnel had Arionna Carr, 19, of Munford and Alexxis Jane Marshall, 20, of Big Sandy in custody when Barker arrived.
The two had concealed several items that they had in their purses and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.
Both were cited into General Sessions Court for Theft under $1,000 involving merchandise. All items were recovered but were unable to be sold. The amount of $32.69 will be due Walmart from Marshall and $23.81 from Carr.
Theft — Sgt. Tony King was dispatched to Hillcourt Circle where he met a resident who was the victim of a theft. The female victim said the perpetrator entered through the back door that was unlocked. The items she said she had missing were a portable DVD player, a toy bow and arrow, an Alexia and $500 in cash. She said she was in the adjacent apartment asleep at the time the incident occurred. Besides the money, the other items were worth $290.
