Domestic Assault — Keith L. Puckett, 31, of Huntingdon was arrested on Feb. 15 on charges of Domestic (Simple) Assault, Aggravated Assault and Child Abuse and Neglect (Violent) in connection with a domestic assault that occurred on Feb. 3.
According to a report filed by Patrolman Justen Roberts, he responded to a call in regards to a possible domestic assault that had taken place near 535 Hillcourt Circle.
When he arrived the victim was sitting in her vehicle. She was bleeding from her nose and there was swelling to her right eye.
The victim said she drove there to speak with a friend who resides there. When she arrived she found Puckett inside the vehicle with her friend. After a brief altercation with Puckett, he got out of the vehicle and assaulted the victim by throwing her to the ground and then punching her in the face several times.
The victim’s minor son exited the car in an attempt to help his mother. Puckett charged at the child and pulled his jacket over his head and slammed him to the ground. Puckett fled the scene before officers arrived.
Schedule II Methamphetamine — Alissa L. King, 45, was charged with Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine after a traffic stop and search. On Feb. 21 Patrolman Justen Roberts observed a white Nissan pickup truck traveling down Lexington St. He stopped the vehicle because he knew the driver, Brian Allen’s driver’s license was suspended.
The passenger, who was King, told Roberts that he was driving her to her daughter’s house. Allen and King were asked if there were any illegal substances or firearms in the vehicle.
In searching King, Roberts found a small plastic bag with a white crystal like substance that was in her right jacket pocket. Roberts tested the substance and it came back positive for meth and weighed 1.07 grams.
Drug and No License Charges — Floyd E. Hilliard, 58, of Buck Ditch Rd. was charged with Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine and Driving on Revoked, Suspended or Canceled driver’s license by Patrolman Justen Roberts on Feb. 18.
The officer observed a blue Pontiac traveling down Veterans Drive that had a broken tail light and brake light that was broken.
After stopping the vehicle he learned Hilliard, the driver had no driver’s license and in searching the vehicle found a plastic bag with a crystal-like substance inside that turned out to be Meth. In addition, three separate bags with Meth were found inside his wallet.
A tow truck was called for the vehicle. Hilliard was then taken to the jail.
