Approximately 25.7 grams of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine was found in the bag believed to have been thrown out by Brown.

According to the report by Officer Brad Allen, he received a call about a reckless driver in a silver Chrysler traveling into Huntingdon on Highway 70A and then observed a car fitting that description traveling on the wrong side of the road. Allen attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle did not stop and a high-speed pursuit ensued with Officer Michael Verner joining the pursuit at one point. Allen reported during the pursuit, the suspect (later identified as Stewart) ran multiple stop signs and four-way stops and ran several other vehicles off the road. After being slowed down by traffic, the officers found the vehicle parked at a Green Oaks address and then found Steward hiding in the bed inside the residence. When questioned, Stewart admitted that he was the driver of the vehicle.
