HUNTINGDON (September 24) — A new industry has committed to locate in Huntingdon. Dynamix Casting and Flux is projected to hire 25 employees in an industrial building to be located in Huntingdon Industrial Park South, on State Route 22 in a yet-to-be constructed 20,000 square-foot building.
Mayor Dale Kelley said the company makes additives for the steel industry. The company will hire engineers and others at the Huntingdon location.
It is a Tennessee Foreign Limited-Liability Company, with ties to Knoxville.
The Town Council voted to seek a state grant to construct an industrial access road to the new company. The resolution indicates the construction of the road is vital for the successful completion of the project.
The Council also applied for a state grant to construct a sidewalk along East Main Street from Barnett Street to Buena Vista Road. If the grant application is successful, the city will fund five percent of the project.
