ARTIN - The University of Tennessee system has created the policies concerning the COVID-19 virus.
The University of Tennessee at Martin has no known cases of the virus, however, the school is converting to online classes for three weeks.
Here is some of the information from the university’s website.
Cleaning: The university is disinfecting high-touch campus areas during each work shift or three times daily, including all computer labs.
Classes: In-person classes will not be held through April 3 but will be conducted online. Students who do not have computer access should contact local libraries for possible use of technology resources.
Nursing clinicals: All nursing clinicals are cancelled.
Student teaching: Contact the Department of Educational Studies for more information.
Vet Tech mandatory labs: Alternate plans are being determined for these mandatory labs.
Advising and Registration: Advising is scheduled April 6-9; registration begins the following week.
All in-person events are cancelled through April 5. All intercollegiate spring sports are cancelled through spring semester. Decisions about other key university events will be made as more information is available.
Prospective Student Tours: Prospective student tours are suspended through April 3.
Spring Preview Day: Spring Preview Day scheduled for Saturday, April 4, is cancelled.
