James Edward “Mr. Ed” Lankford, 74, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at McKenzie Healthcare Center.

Funeral Services are Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Long Rock United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Long Rock Cemetery. Reverend Alex Hilliard officiating.

Mr. Lankford was born on September 20, 1945 to the late Claudie Lankford and Iva Traywick Lankford. He was a member of Long Rock United Methodist Church, a retired math teacher for Scott County Missouri High School and owned Lankford Taxidermy.

He is survived by one brother, David (Lynda) Lankford of McKenzie, Tennessee; one niece, Jennifer (Robby) Cole of Hoover, Alabama; one nephew, Jonathan (Christy) Lankford of McKenzie, Tennessee; one great-nephew, Ryan Cole; and four great-nieces: Brooke Cole Reynolds, Samantha Keene, Emilie Nelson, and Carly Varallo; and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13, 2020, 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Long Rock United Methodist Church, Long Rock Cemetery, or the charity of your choice.
