McKENZIE, Tenn.  - Graveside Funeral Services for James L. Knolton are Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will have a private visitation prior to the service.

Mr. Knolton, 86, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Knolton was a member of First Baptist Church McKenzie, a member of Tenn. National Guard for 35 years, a retired member of McKenzie School Board and McKenzie City Council, Civil Air Patrol and charter member of McKenzie Jaycees. He was a cable slicer for Bellsouth and retired after 40 years of service.

He was born in Medina to JT and Juanita Lewis Knolton on December 23, 1934.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sheila Knolton.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Knolton, daughter, Laura (Brian) Baker all of McKenzie, a brother, Bobby (Susan) Knolton of Knoxville, six grandchildren, Kelsie Poore, Kaleigh Poore, Beau Baker, Blake Baker, Sydney Baker and Nick Baker and two great-grandchildren, Claudia Baker and Cailyn Baker, and nieces and nephews, nieces and nephews Robbie Knolton, Jon Knolton, Kelly Knolton and Christina Duncan.
