McKENZIE - Funeral services for Janie Powell Felts are Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. and on Thursday 9:30 a.m. until service time. Entombment is at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Kenny Carr is the officiant and deacons of Long Heights Baptist Church are pallbearers.
Mrs. Felts, 72, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born May 23, 1948 in Rising Fawn, Georgia to Duke and Ruby Davis Powell. She was a homemaker and a member of Long Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Felts of McKenzie, three sisters, Betty Brewer Simmons, Shelby Massey and Louise (Allen) Hanna, three brothers, Tex (Elaine) Powell, Larry Powell and Delaine (Etha Lou) Powell and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers George Powell and Morrell Powell.
