Services for Jerry Strong Connell, 82, of Gleason, Tenn. are Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at the Gleason First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason.
The long-time fire chief of Gleason was born January 28, 1939 and died April 21, 2021.
Visitation is Sunday at 1 p.m. to time of the funeral service.
Mr. Connell is survived by his wife, Dorothy Connell, of Gleason. He is also survived by four daughters, Patrice (Michael) Devine of Louisville, Kentucky, Denise (Jeff) Britt of Gleason, Cris (Mark) Stafford of Gleason, and Camille (Tommy) Legins of Martin. Mr. Connell leaves behind twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Bertha Connell, and sister, Martha Jean Hagler.
