PARKER’S CROSSROADS — Mr. Jimmie Hale Jr., 93, of Parker’s Crossroads, Tennessee died Thursday August 8, 2019.
Funeral services were Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was at Parker’s Crossroads Cemetery.
Mr. Hale was born May 26, 1926 in Yuma, Tennessee to the late James Homer Hale and Bertha Lee McArthur. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Joy Hale, three brothers, Arvie (Anita), Ozlee (Audrey), Freamon (Billie) and one sister, Artie Todd (Vester).
Mr. Hale was drafted at 18, left home in senior year of high school and served in US Army WWII European Theater in various countries.
Mr. Hale is survived by his children, Roy Steven Hale (Nancy) of Hernando, Mississippi, Joseph Martin Hale (Regina) of Parker’s Crossroads, Tennessee and Rebecca Jean Williams of Trezevant, Tennessee; five grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Anita Hale of McKenzie, Tennessee, who died this week.
