Juanita Morris Beasley, 86, died Friday, December 6, 2019 at Carriage Court Assisted Living in Marysville, Ohio. She had been a resident there for about six years. She was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease but suffered a major stroke prior to her death.
Nita was born in Tipton County on December 26, 1932, the daughter of James Thomas (Ross) and Mary Emma Morris. She attended Byars-Hall High. She married Lindsey Beasley and lived in the Mt Carmel community. They attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she was saved and baptized as a child. The Beasley’s lived briefly in Fayette Co., Tenn. prior to moving to McKenzie, Tenn. in 1972, where she was employed at the McKenzie Banking Company until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Church, McKenzie. She resided in McKenzie until her declining health left her to move near her daughter in Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Beasley, her father and mother, two brothers, J. T. (Bubba) Morris, Jr., and Billy Hyatt Morris. She is survived by their three children, Judy (Bob) Pennington of Huntsville, Ohio, Charles (Pam) Beasley of Huntingdon, Tenn. and Dan (Candy) Beasley of Huntsville, Alabama, one brother, Harold (Sherry) Morris, and grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Twelvetrees, Sgt. Chris Bringle, Christopher Nix, Stacey (Travis) Salazar, Kyle Beasley, Cara (Brad) Brown and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. at the Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial follows at Covington Memorial Gardens at noon on Friday, Dec. 13. Reverend Dennis Trull will officiate. Pallbearers are David Twelvetrees, Chris Bringle, Kyle Beasley, Brad Brown, Tommy Putman, and Calvin Beasley.
