McKENZIE (September 19) — The McKenzie High School Lady Rebel soccer team is deep into the season and has yet to suffer a defeat. The unbeaten streak began with a 5-0 road win over Obion County and a 3-2 win over Dyersburg in the home opener. Next was a 1-1 draw at home against Lexington, followed by a 2-0 shutout at Crockett County. The Lady Rebels hosted Peabody for a 5-1 victory, then traveled to Waverly Central for a 5-0 shutout. McKenzie finally began Distrist 13A play Thursday at Gibson County and claimed a 3-0 win.
McKenzie Lady Rebels 5, Obion County Central Lady Rebels 0 (August 27) — McKenzie’s Allie Chappell scored a pair of goals and had an assist. Maggie Aird scored a goal and had two assists. Isabella Colotta and Savannah Nesbitt each scored a goal, and Isabelle Wright and Haley Brasfield each had an assist. Goalkeeper Gracie Dillingham had five saves for the shutout.
Lady Rebels 3, Dyersburg Lady Trojans 2 (September 3) — Lady Rebel Maggie Aird scored a goal and had an assist. Savannah Nesbitt and Allie Chappell each scored a goal. Goalkeeper Gracie Dillingham recorded ten saves.
Lady Rebels 1, Lexington Lady Tigers 1 (September 5) — Lady Rebel Allie Chappell scored the lone goal. Goalkeeper Gracie Dillingham recorded seven saves.
Lady Rebels 2, Crockett County Lady Cavaliers 0 (September 10) — Lady Rebel Allie Chappell scored a goal and had an assist. Savannah Nesbitt scored a goal and Maggie Aird had an assist. Goalkeeper Gracie Dillingham has ten saves.
