McKENZIE (October 2) — McKenzie High School celebrated Homecoming Friday night at Randy Thomas Field.
Prior to the Rebel football team’s blowout region win over Gibson County, the Homecoming royalty was presented and the queen crowned.
The five members of the court were driven onto the field by Steve Berryman in his Mustang convertible. The ladies were then escorted across the field by Rebel football players.
Crowned as queen was senior Lauren Mansfield, 17-year-old daughter of Scott Mansfield and Elizabeth Mansfield. She was escorted by senior Brandon Boaz, son of Chris and Lorra Boaz.
Other members of the royalty include:
Senior Maggie Glass, 17-year-old daughter of Paul and Jennifer Glass, was escorted by senior Tanner Waugh, son of Joey and Holly Waugh and Steve and Micki Cunningham.
Senior Kennedy Green, 17-year-old daughter of Torey Green and Michael and Kendra Earnhardt, was escorted by senior Chris Barnett, son of Joseph and Elizabeth Ruprich.
Senior Savanah Hill, 17-year-old daughter of Blake and Lexy Hill and Mike and Summer Champion, was escorted by senior Will Latimer, son of Chuck and Jan Latimer.
Junior Anna Grace Spivey, 16-year-old daughter of Kelly and Mary Spivey, was escorted by senior Logan Lyles, son of Kevin and Lisa Lyles and Dustie and Tammy Graves.
Mansfield was crowned by senior football players Kaden Allen, son of April Frensley and Stanley Allen, Ryan Christian, son of Wayne and Laura Christian, and Jordan Woods, son of Christy Woods.
