Leslie (Danny) Daniel McElhiney

MARTIN, Tenn. - Mr. Leslie Daniel (Danny) McElhiney, 70, of Martin, formerly of Gleason, died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at St. Thomas Hospital West, Nashville, Tenn.

Funeral services will be private.

Pallbearers will be Doug Sims, Joel Ayers, Raines Ayers, Randy Frazier, Robert Jeter, Bryan Rich, Tootie Abernathy.

Mr. McElhiney was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gleason; he was retired salesman for Abernathy Harley-Davidson, Union City, Tenn. and former owner and operator of McElhiney's Men Shop in downtown McKenzie, Tenn.

Mr. McElhiney is survived by his wife, Sandra Wade McElhiney, Martin, Tenn.; his daughters, Kellie (Doug) Sims, Martin and Ashley (Joel) Ayers, Jackson, Tenn.;  his five grandchildren, Jacey Sims, McCall Sims, Haylen Ayers, Raines Ayers, and Jentri Ayers; and a brother, Jerry (Pam) McElhiney, Gleason, Tenn.

Mr. McElhiney was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Evelyn Wells McElhiney.
