10 YEARS AGO — Norandal Aluminum Holding Corporation laid off 74 workers at its Huntingdon plant.

20 YEARS AGO — Precision Porous Pipes announced an expansion that would include doubling the size of the facility and increasing its workforce by 50 percent.

*Rural King announced it would open its 15th retail store in the 30,000 square-foot former Wal-Mart building in McKenzie.

*Bethel College held its first-ever winter commencement, conferring 84 degrees.

50 YEARS AGO — Showing at the Park Theatre: The Nutty Professor starring Jerry Lewis; The Ambushers starring Dean Martin; Pink Jungle starring James Garner; and Live a Little, Love a Little starring the great and famous Elvis Presley.
