HUNTINGDON - Mrs. Majoria “Jo” Jane Melton Abbott, 89, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Saturday, September 12, 2020, at her home. The family had a private service.
Mrs. Abbott was born June 13, 1931 in Troy, Tennessee, to the late Lee Mitchell Smith and Nannie Estelle (Springer) Smith.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Melton, second husband, Ondell Abbott, one daughter, Patricia Jane Melton, two brothers, and one sister.
She is survived three daughters, Fredia Harris (Frankie), Cathy Garner, both of Huntingdon, LeAnn George (Bud) of Murfreesboro, three sisters, and one brother. She also has nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Chase Funeral Home.
