Posted

Dr. Brock Martin, Clinical Director and Chiropractor at Southern Chiropractic and Acupuncture, is running for Tennessee State House District 79 on the Republican Primary ballot. Martin is running for the seat held by Curtis Halford, who announced he would not be seeking re-election.

“Our campaign has been committed to being visible, available, and transparent across all of District 79,” Martin stated. He discussed that he supported Tennessee’s commitment of not implementing a state income tax and keeping property tax low. “Local businesses are the heartbeat of rural counties. Small businesses thrive when government is limited.”

He discussed other significant goals for him are to build upon protecting the Second Amendment, cutting taxes and combating inflation, protecting the sanctity of life and advocating for an accessible adoption process in our state, expanding broadband across West Tennessee, and supporting law enforcement.

Martin is a lifelong West Tennessee resident. He is a graduate of Camden Central High School and attended Bethel University in McKenzie. Martin is the son of two educators and understands the value that a strong education system and teachers can have on a rural community.

“I know firsthand the sacrifice educators make everyday. My parents dedicated 40 years of their lives to public education and I will always support our teachers.”

Martin has a passion for service. He serves as a key member on several boards and is the current President of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association.

The primary election is August 4, 2022. Early voting begins Friday, July 15, 2022 through Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Announcement paid for by the candidate.
