McKenzie Council to Consider Bidding Solid Waste Contract

Posted

McKenzie Mayor and Council convenes Thursday, April 11, 6 p.m. for the regular monthly meeting.

On the agenda is a proposal to seek competitive bids for the collection of solid waste throughout the city. Republic Services now has the contract and has a local office and transfer station. In recent weeks, the City of Dresden and the County of Carroll both sought competitive bids.

A proclamation to honor the 2018-19 McKenzie High School Boys’ Basketball Team will be presented. The team advanced to the final four in the state tournament in Murfreesboro and earned the distinction of advancing further than any previous MHS boys’ team.

The 2017-18 fiscal year financial audit will be presented to the Council for approval.

The public is welcome to attend.
