Easter Sunday, April 20 Community Sunrise Services are scheduled for 7 a.m. at Johnson Temple CME Church on Walnut Avenue near Webb School. Reverend Chris Johnson of Greater Enon Baptist Church will bring the message. An offering will be collected to assist McKenzie United Neighbors.
McKenzie’s Easter Express is Saturday
The Easter Express is rolling through town Saturday, April 20. Kids get ready, there are over 6000 eggs, prizes, picture props, cookie decorating, the Easter bunny, Peter Rabbit the movie and a surprise birthday celebration including cake and punch for all attending in honor of McKenzie’s 150th Birthday Celebration. Also, a sneak peek of the train museum/ visitors center opening later this summer. Tickets on sale now through Thursday, $15 per child, adults free limit two per child. Limited number of tickets available.
Living Lord Supper at Park Theatre
First Cumberland Presbyterian Church is hosting a live drama on Thursday, April 18, 7 p.m. at Park Theatre, downtown McKenzie. Twelve persons will portray their life stories as depicted in DaVinci’s painting. It is free and open to the public.
