Posted

McKENZIE — Alivia Green is the president of Bethel University’s Student Government Association. The 2019 graduate of McKenzie High School and enrolled at Bethel in the fall of 2019.
Green joined the Freshman Council and fell in love with the idea of leadership. In the 2020 spring semester, she ran for an office in the Student Government Association (SGA), not thinking she would actually get the office. She was excited when she received the news she won her office. Her office was known as Secretary of Communications, which consisted of emailing all of the students and running every social media account for the SGA and was one of the most studious offices in the SGA. In the spring of 2021, she decided to run for the president of the SGA and received so much support from her family and friends.
“I would have never even thought to run for president. After many of my friends pushed me to go for it, I finally decided to run and got the position. I’m so excited for the 2021-2022 semesters as the SGA president.”
Alivia is also a member of Gamma Beta Phi (The National Honor Society), SMACS (Student Members of the American Chemistry Society), the Lambda Sigma Sorority and the Sports Information Department.
