McKenzie Homecoming Court Announced

Five McKenzie High School senior ladies were selected to serve as the Homecoming Court. One will be crowned as queen on Friday evening, September 24 in pre-game ceremonies at Randy Thomas Field.

They are Sadie O’Brien, daughter of Keith O’Brien and Tessa O’Brien; Anna Grace Spivey, daughter of Kelly and Mary Spivey; Blair Putman, daughter of Paul and Traci Putman; Juleyanne Weatherford, daughter of Kelly and Clara Weatherford; and Sidney Fornera, daughter of Gary and Donna Fornera.

Homecoming week activities include: Thursday, September 23, 8:30 p.m., bonfire at McKenzie High School.

Friday, September 24, 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. activities in the gym; 9:15 to 10:45, outside activities at football field - ultimate Frisbee; soccer field - kickball; back circle on campus - nine squares and cornhole, along with Rollin’ Snow; 10:45 to 11 -homeroom; 11 to 11:30 - senior and junior lunch. 11:30 -11:45, juniors and seniors head to parking lot of City Florist; 11:30 to noon - freshmen and sophomores lunch; noon to 12:15, freshmen and sophomores head to City Florist parking lot.

At 12:30, parade begins from City Florist, down Cedar and North Stonewall to pass McKenzie Middle School and McKenzie Elementary School.

A district-wide pep rally is at the football field at 1:30 to 2 p.m., after which MHS students return to their school for the Alma Mater in the gym.
