TREZEVANT (June 23) — A McKenzie man was killed in a two-car collision on Tuesday, June 23 on U.S. 79 near the intersection of Wingo Circle.
According to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Corey Douglas, 33, McKenzie was driving a 1999 Acura on U.S. 79 when he collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Amanda Crowe, 28, of Martin.
Douglas died at the scene while his daughter, Jovi Garner, 10 was injured and airlifted from the scene. Garner is recuperating with an injury to her arm.
The report indicates Crowe was also injured but does not list the extent of the injuries.
