McKenzie Middle School Celebrates Great Football Season

McKENZIE (October 3) — The McKenzie Middle School football team celebrated a winning season (5-2) Thursday at Bethel University’s Vera Low Center.
The team enjoyed Chick-fil-A before the coaches began the awards ceremony.
Each player was presented with a certificate, and eighth grade players received statuettes.
Next, individual awards were presented. Christopher Beck was named the Top Lineman. Quarterback Tate Surber was named Offensive MVP. The Headhunter Award (Defensive MVP) was presented to three players, Landon Brown, Drew Chappell and Christopher Beck.

The team then went over to Wildcat Stadium to watch the Bethel football team play. During the game, the Rebels were recognized in the stands for their successful season.
MMS Rebel eight grade players were Brady Brewer, Jake Cassidy, Hayden Garrett, Ian Ownby, Stafford Roditis, Drew Chappell, Brent Odom, Dalton Hatley, Dawson Brush, Lane Anderson, Braxton Sulock, Chaz Flippin, Ace Fisher, Christopher Beck, Cameron Flippin, Luiz Tellez, Andrew Marr, Aidan Sisemore and Chris Hollowell.
Seventh grade players were Will Blue, Landon Brown, Holden Puckett, Landyn Smith, Tate Surber, Colt Norden, Carson Hill, KD Cunningham, Ryan McCreary, Martez Teague, Ethan Harwell, Brooks Waugh, Denver Brush, Trey Gilbert, Craegan Travis, Austin Luci, Aden Heath, Jacob Smith and Mason Epperson.
Managers were Ace Brown, Cole Brown and Film Tech Miles Beeler.
Head Coach Paul Carroll was assisted by Kerrick Owens, Zach Renfro, Ty Riggins and Zach Tippitt.
