Multiple Drug Charges — According to a report filed by patrolman Steven Scott, he stopped a vehicle for failure to dim headlights on Sunday evening, March 20. The driver was identified as Amy Lynn Guentz, 35, of McKenzie. A license check revealed she did not have a valid license. Scott indicated Guentz appeared nervous and he asked if she had anything illegal in the vehicle to which she replied she did not. She refused consent to search her vehicle and Carroll County Deputy Cody Walker brought his K9 which alerted on Guentz vehicle.

A search of the vehicle and her purse netted numerous pills identified as Vyvanse, a glass pipe with white residue, empty baggies with white residue, and a small vial field tested and confirmed to contain methamphetamine.

Guentz was cited for Drivers License Required and arrested for Possession of Schedule II Vyvanse, Possession of Schedule II Meth, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to Carroll County Jail.

Domestic Assault/Aggravated Assault — On Wednesday evening, March 16, McKenzie Police received a 911 call with a female stating her son was jumped by his roommate with two other people witnessing the exchange. She believed alcohol was involved.

Officer Darren Davis responded to the Stonewall Street address and spoke to two men one of whom was identified as Taylor C. Lockhart. Lockhart advised Officer Davis there was a verbal exchange with William Chase Patterson and a short time later it became a physical altercation which included pushing by both men and Lockhart placing Patterson in a choke hold.

Officer Davis interviewed Patterson who stated that Lockhart threatened him over letting out the dog. Patterson confirmed the verbal and physical altercations. Davis spoke to two other witnesses who confirmed what occurred. Lockhart was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Domestic Assault and transported to Carroll County Jail.
