Multiple Charges — On September 19, Officer Chance Townes initiated a traffic stop on a white Chevy Tahoe believed to have illegal window tint. The driver, Malachi Allgood, advised he was driving on revoked license for DUI. A computer check confirmed the revoked status. A passenger, Timothy McCauley, also had a revoked license.
According to Townes’ report, an inventory search of the vehicle turned up pills in a small black bag along with cut straws and a dollar bill with white powder residue. Alcoholic beverages were also found in the vehicle. Neither person claimed ownership of the drugs and alcohol and were charged. Allgood was charged with Driving on Revoked License for DUI-First Offense, Possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. McCauley was also charged with Possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Financial Responsibility/Unregistered Vehicle — Officer Dalton Raspberry initiated a traffic stop on September 23 after observing a black Dodge Ram driving without a license plate on Park Street. According to Raspberry’s report, the driver, Andrew Arnold of Sharon, informed him that he did not have insurance and the title was an open title. Arnold was cited for No Proof of Insurance and Unregistered Motor Vehicle. The vehicle was seized and taken to the impound lot.
Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — Officer Jeff Lowden initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford Explorer on September 24 for a light law violation. The driver, Lisa Davis, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Davis was given a verbal warning for the light law violation and cited into court for Driving on Suspended License-First Offense.
Weapon on School Property — A Memphis man was arrested and charged with Carrying a Weapon on School Property on September 25 after Bethel Security found a gun in his car and notified McKenzie Police.
