Aggravated Assault — A Gleason man was arrested on three counts of aggravated assault after threatening people with a gun. According to a report by Officer Cody Coleman, Charles Farlowe allegedly approached three persons in the back of a Walnut Avenue residence and threatened them with a pistol. One victim, Keith Haynes got into an altercation with Farlowe attempting to disarm him. Farlowe admitted to officers he had been drinking and officers did recover a .40 caliber pistol while searching him. Farlow was charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Handgun While Under The Influence, Possession of a Firearm during a dangerous felony, Aggravated Criminal Trespassing, Public Intoxication, and Vandalism Under $1,000, and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Sale/Delivery of a Controlled Substance — A routine patrol resulted in the arrest of a Dresden woman for the sale or delivery of a controlled substance. According to a report filed by Trey Boucher, he was patrolling a business on Highland Drive when he found a vehicle in the parking lot after hours with two females in it. Questioning and a search revealed that there was two bags of marijuana totaling 36 grams in the trunk. Ms. Leann Scott admitted the marijuana was hers and she was there to meet someone. Scott was arrested and charged with Sale/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and taken to Carroll County Jail.
Multiple Charges — Last Tuesday, September 3, Officer Jeremiah Brooks was dispatched to a store in McKenzie in reference to an intoxicated person. According to Brooks’ report, he located Ms. Lashaunda Taylor, who admitted to taking suboxone and xanax. Taylor performed poorly on field sobriety tests and a search turned up a pill bottle with different drugs in it. Taylor was charged with DUI-Fourth Offense, Driving On Revoked License Due to DUI conviction-Second Offense, Possession of Schedule II and Possession of Schedule IV drugs and Violation of Implied Consent Law.

Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — Officer Trey Boucher stopped a red Toyota on Highland Drive last Tuesday, September 3 for not having any tail lights. The driver, Lutrecia Tharpe, of Paris, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Tharpe was cited into General Sessions Court for Driving on a Suspended License-First Offense and Violation of the Light Law.
Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — Officer Jeff Lowden initiated a traffic stop last Wednesday, September 4 on a green Jeep. The driver, Ben Hart of McKenzie, was found to be driving on a suspended license and was cited into General Sessions Court for Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License-First Offense.
Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — Officer Chance Townes initiated a traffic stop last Wednesday night on a Kia Soul driven by Rebekah Townsend of McKenzie. Townes had prior information that Townsend was driving on a suspended license. A computer check confirmed the suspension and she was cited into General Sessions Court for Driving on Suspended License-First Offense.
