Disorderly Conduct/Resisting Arrest — On Saturday Evening, September 21, McKenzie police received multiple calls about a black male walking on Highland Drive in front of the Mexican Restaurant.
According to the report filed by Officer Trey Boucher, he located Mr. Clinton Hoard on Cedar Street walking in the road with traffic present. He pulled in front of him into a driveway and ordered him to stop. Hoard refused to stop and kept walking past Boucher’s location. Officer Cody Coleman had to stop in the road in front of a Cedar Street residence to keep from hitting Hoard. Coleman made contact with Hoard and arrested him for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest and was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Multiple Charges — McKenzie Police Officers were dispatched to Euclid Avenue Friday, September 20, in reference to a female shouting. A couple was found walking and questioned. The male, David Myles, stated he was trying to go to a relatives house to get a ride to Huntingdon and his girlfriend, Kim Taylor, didn’t want him to go.
According to the report filed by Officer Michael Lowe, a warrant check was done on the two and discovered that the two had orders of protection against each other. Myles was charged with Violating a Restraining Order and Taylor was also charged with Violating a Restraining Order and additionally charged with Criminal Impersonation and had a Contempt of Court warrant. Both were taken to the Carroll County Jail.

Theft of Merchandise/Shoplifting — Officer Dalton Raspberry responded to a local store on Highland Drive Thursday, September 19, in regards to a shoplifting. Raspberry spoke with Lisa Davis who admitted taking several items from the store and putting them in her purse. According to Raspberry’s report, a status check revealed she also had an active Failure to Appear Warrant. Davis was cited into General Sessions Court for Theft of Merchandise Under $1,000 and Failure to Appear.
Simple Possession/Casual Exchange — On Thursday night, September 19, Officer Jeff Lowden initiated a traffic stop on a tan Ford Taurus after observing a brake light not functioning. A search of the vehicle turned up several pipes, a scale, and grinder along with two small plastic bags of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The driver, Joshua Franklin, was cited for Simple Possession of Schedule VI Drug,Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Light Law Violation.
Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — On Wednesday afternoon, Officer Dalton Raspberry initiated a traffic stop on a tan Jeep Liberty having knowledge the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was confirmed to be Adrian Moore of McKenzie. He confirmed that he didn’t have a license and had been in court for Driving on a Suspended License. Moore was arrested and charged with Driving on Suspended License – Second Offense and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Fraudulent Use of Credit/Debit Card — Sandra Roof of McKenzie reported to police on Tuesday, September 17 that she had lost her debit card and someone had been using it.
According to Officer Ryan White’s report, investigation led to three persons using the card after Roof lost it. Elizabeth Crocker of McKenzie and James Sole, also of McKenzie were charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card. Warrants are pending for Robert Warren of McKenzie for the same charge.
