Assault — Officer Justin Brister charged Courtney Jarrell Chaz Sharp, Memphis was charged with assault after he reportedly yelled and cursed a clerk at a local store on February 21. Officer Brister watched the video of the suspect. He was advised to report within 10 days to answer charges.
Violation Of Probation — Officer Dalton Raspberry arrested James R. Fail of McKenzie on an outstanding warrant for Violation of Probation on February 20.
Driving While Suspended/Revoked — Officer Chance Townes charged John David Forrest, Blooming Grove Road, McKenzie, with Driving on a Suspended License/Revoked after he stopped Forrest’s vehicle for a light law violation. He was advised to report to General Sessions Court within 10 days to answer charges.
Driving On A Suspended License/Revoked — Officer Cody Coleman charged Clinton Dwayne Wright, Alabama Street, McKenzie with Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License on February 17. Officer Coleman observed a Dodge truck fail to stop at a stop sign on West End. A check of the license status revealed it was revoked. Coleman charged Wright with a fourth offense Driving on  Revoked. He was additionally charged with failure to provide proof of Financial Responsibility. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Public Intoxication/Fugitive From Justice/Resisting Arrest — Officer Trey Boucher chared Charity L. Bratton, Kencindot Street, McKenzie with Public Intoxication, Fugitive From Justice, and Resisting Arrest on February 17. Dispatch received notice of a person walking down the middle of Cherrywood Avenue. Officers found her lying in a side yard. She reportedly had slurred speech and resisted arrest. She was transported to jail and held under $1,250 bond. She was held for extradition to for Pemiscot County Missouri on an outstanding warrant.

Driving While Suspended/Revoked — Officer Justin Brister charged Karen Noble of Pinson, Tenn. with Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License on February 17.
Dispatch received a call about a pickup truck at the intersection of Como Street and State Route 22. The pickup had rocking back and forth and its engine was revving for several minutes. Mrs. Noble’s license was revoked. She stated the driver had gone to Milan to get assistance to move the vehicle. The license plate was registered to a different vehicle. She was issued a citation for Driving on Revoked-First Offense and Misuse of Registration. She was given ten days to report for booking in Huntingdon.
Theft — Officer Jeremiah Brooks charged Clinton Hoard, Randle Street, McKenzie with Theft after reportedly stealing the mail from a church on February 16. Officers located Hoard and transported him to jail.
Aggravated Assault/Assault — Officer Dalton Rasberry charged Darrin Patterson, Hamilton Street, McKenzie, with Aggravated Assault and Assault after an incident on February 16.
Driving On Suspended/Revoked License/Resisting Arrest — Officer Jeffrey Lowden charged Kelvin Deshon Evans, Walnut Circle, McKenzie with Driving on Revoked/Suspended License after a traffic stop on February 22. Evans did not have license, registration or proof of insurance. He was cited into Carroll County General Sessions.
Officer Jeremiah Brooks charged Evans with Resisting Arrest in a separate incident on February 16 after reports of loud music coming from his automobile while parked near an apartment on Walnut Circle. Officers discovered an outstanding warrant of Failure to Appear from Carroll County. Evans was transported to jail for Failure to Appear and Resisting Arrest.
