Domestic and Aggravated Assault — Hyrek V. Pierrot, 26, Kipling Dr., Nashville, was charged with Domestic Assault, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During a Dangerous Felony,and Resisting Arrest on January 1 in McKenzie.
 
Officer Austin Jones reported 911 received a hang-up call from a location on North Highland Drive. Upon arriving at a parked vehicle, a female was standing on the driver’s side of the vehicle while a male was on the passenger side slamming his fist against the windshield and shouting profanities.
 
The female victim stated Hyrek was irate as the passenger in the vehicle and struck her on the right side of the face three times while she was driving between the Highway 22 overpass and David Street. She stopped the car nearby, exited the car and phoned 911. She claimed Hyrek exited the passenger side, came around the car’s rear, and pointed a 9-mm handgun at her head stating he would kill her.
 
Officers Jones and Matthew Cunningham found a loaded 9-mm gun, with a round in the chamber, on the passenger side. Hyrek resisted arrest as he was being handcuffed.
 
Aggravated Criminal Trespass — Elizabeth Ann Bugg, 31, Clifton Avenue, Nashville was arrested on December 31 after an incident at Park Circle.
 
Officer Cody Coleman responded to the residence where Bugg was inside an apartment and did not have permission to be there. She had apparently damaged the rear door to gain entry. Nothing could be determined as missing. Bugg was arrested for Aggravated Criminal Trespass and Vandalism.
 
Domestic Assault, Aggravated Assault — Cameron B. Humphreys, 26, Value Inn, McKenzie was charged with Aggravated Assault and Domestic Assault on January 3.
 
Officer Justin Brister reported Union City hospital alerted McKenzie Police Department of a domestic assault against one of their pregnant patients who sought medical treatment at the Union City hospital. The incident occurred at Humphreys’ motel room in McKenzie. The report indicated the pregnant female victim was shoved and strangled during the incident. Patrolman Brooks and Patrolman Beck assisted in the arrest. They found Humphreys in a parked vehicle at the motel and made the arrest. Humphreys reportedly admitted to the incident and acknowledged he used Xanax prior to the incident.
 
Assault, Retaliation to Officer — Tommy Horton, 41, Hinkledale Road, McKenzie was charged with Retaliation to an Officer, Assault, Speeding, and Failure to Carry Drivers’ License on January 3.
 
Officer Sean Beck stopped Horton’s vehicle for traveling 33 and a 25 mph zone. Horton questioned why Officer Beck did not stop the vehicle in front of him that failed to activate his turn signal. Horton reportedly called Officer Beck inappropriate names and threatened the officer if he was caught without his badge while off duty.
 
Horton was asked to step outside the vehicle. An odor of marijuana was escaping the vehicle, to which Horton said he smoked CDB. A canine was requested and alerted on the vehicle. No illegal drugs were found. A family member was allowed to retrieve the vehicle and Horton was arrested.
 
Driving on Revoked License — Dale Maurice Teague, 35, Poplar Street, Paris, was charged with Driving on a Revoked License and Violation of Financial Responsibility on January 4.
 
Officer Cody Coleman reported he initiated a traffic stop on Highland Drive for obstructing the view violation. A check of the driver’s license revealed Dale Teague’s license was revoked for failure to satisfy court fines. A computer check also revealed the driver was in violation of the Financial Responsibility law. He was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.
 
Criminal Trespass — Brian K. Garriott, 57, Highway 22, McKenzie, was charged with Criminal Trespass on January 3.
 
Officer Tanner Jackson reported Garriott was banned from the Eagle Food Store on Highland and entered the business in violation of the ban. Garriott was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.
