Isaac, 28, Elkwood Drive, Memphis, was charged with Driving on a Revoked License, Speeding and Violation of Financial Responsibility after a traffic stop on December 16. Officer Trenton Ruddy stopped a Ford Taurus for speeding. A check of the driver’s license revoked the revoked status. He was cited into court for Speeding, Driving on Revoked-First Offense, and Violation of Financial Responsibility.

Assault — Micheal Walker, 62, Main Street, McKenzie was charged with Assault and Disorderly Conduct on December 22. Officer Kyle Beauchamp filed the report stating a neighbor on Reynolds Street reported Walker pouring milk into the city’s water meter and also messing with her birdbath. The female neighbor said Walker was yelling at her and her son. Officers had difficulty controlling Walker. A county sheriff’s unit was called to help transport Walker to the Carroll County Jail.

Resisting Arrest, Drug Paraphernalia — A fleeing vehicle crashed and the occupants attempted to flee after a wreck on Christmas at midnight. Tamara G. Chesser, 25, Common Loop, Camden, and Alia D. Noah, 32, Bluebird Lane, Huntingdon, were charged with various crimes by McKenzie Police. The vehicle crashed on a rural road in Weakley County. Officer Sean Beck said he witnessed a vehicle that failed to maintain its lane on Georgia Avenue. When he turned to pursue, the vehicle sped up and led Officer Beck to Blooming Grove Road. Beck said he backed away from the vehicle and noticed it crashed after hitting a patch of ice on the road. The driver ran from the vehicle and Chesser attempted to do as well, however, her jacket got caught in the door jam. She heeded Officer Beck’s order to stop. A second female passenger, Alia Noah was in the back seat. Her door was jammed from the crash.

The two female passengers were detained while Beck and Weakley County officers, along with a K9, tracked the driver. The report indicates he might have been assisted in his escape by someone else.

Trooper Mayberry processed the crash scene. When the contents of the vehicle were inventoried, a broken jewelry box, two Sentry safes, a non-functioning .22 pistol, digital scales, and a white powder substance were located. Chesser was charged with Resisting Stop, Frisk, Halt or Arrest in Weakley County. Noah was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Noah was cited into Carroll County Court.
