Speeding, Driving on Suspended License — Tammy M. Sheeks, 51, Clarksville, was charged with Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License on May 21.

Officer Matthew Cunningham stopped Sheeks’ vehicle for speeding along Hwy 79. A status check of her driver’s license showed a suspended status. She was cited into court.

FTA, Violation of Probation — Ashton M. Ridley, 20, McKenzie, was charged with Failure to Appear (FTA) and Violation of Probation on May 22.

Officer Sean Beck saw Ridley walking through a yard at the corner of Elm Street and Locust Avenue. Knowing Ridley had warrants out of Weakley County, Officer Beck advised other units to help with the apprehension of Ridley. Ridley was apprehended and taken into custody at Weakley County Jail.

Domestic Violence, Violation of the Order of Protection — Dillon Gregory, 28, McKenzie, was charged with Domestic Violence and Violation of the Order of Protection on May 22.

Officer Jason Artymovich responded to a domestic assault call from the victim’s house. Upon arriving, the victim informed Officer Artymovich that Gregory had assaulted her after an argument and he fled the scene. The victim had red marks on the side of her face.

Gregory was stopped by the Gleason Police Department. He told officers he received a text from the victim to get his things from her house, and she began hitting him when he arrived. He did not have any visible markings on his body.

Gregory was arrested.

Multiple Charges — Matthew R. Epperson, 32, Trezevant, was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Property Damage), Immediate Notice of Accident, and Driving on Suspended License on May 22. He was also cited for Open Container.

Officer Sean Beck and other McKenzie PD officers were advised of a singular vehicle wreck with unknown injuries. The caller said Epperson had driven into the ditch near Bethel University’s library and left the scene to avoid police.

In a vehicle search, Officer Beck found a Glock and ammunition. He also found multiple open beer bottles and cans, some still containing alcohol. The caller believed Epperson was driving under the influence.

Upon running his information through dispatch, McKenzie PD found Epperson’s license was suspended.

Officer Beck performed a welfare check on Epperson after the caller said he sent suicidal text messages to her.

Officer Beck found Epperson asleep and intoxicated at his home. Epperson was placed in custody and transported to Carroll County Jail.

Driving on Revoked License — Samantha G. Rhea, 40, Lavinia, was charged with Driving on Suspended/Revoked License and Violation of Probation.

Sergeant Cody Coleman stopped Rhea when she failed to signal a turn. A license check revealed her license was revoked for a prior DUI. Sgt. Coleman also found that Rhea had an active warrant out of Carroll County for a violation of probation.

Rhea was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail.
