Aggravated Burglary — Alvin Travis, 60, Magnolia Avenue, was charged with Aggravated Burglary and Vandalism on July 3.

Officer Bryan Batchelder was dispatched to a Magnolia Avenue address, where Travis had kicked in the door and entered the house. He was said to be screaming and sweating. The owner and the renter were called to the scene, as well as an ambulance, to check the vitals of Travis. The tenants said several items inside the home were relocated. The owner indicated the damage was approximately $500. Travis was transported to jail.

Theft, Vandalism — MPD responded to a Forrest Avenue address, where the principal resident reported theft of an automobile and vandalism to another. Along with theft of an air conditioner, television, air fryer, and speakers.  She indicated her ex-husband could be suspect.

Officer Timothy Dillon took statements from the principal resident and other house occupants. After his interviews, he had each of their names entered into the national crime computer and discovered one of the occupants, Daytrien L. Hunt, 27, of Milan had an outstanding warrant issued out of McCracken County, Kentucky.

Hunt was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail for extradition.

Domestic Assault — Jacinda D. Bates, 25, Paris, was charged with Domestic Assault on July 6 after she reportedly slapped the father of her baby.

Officer Steven Scott’s report indicated the victim videoed Bates slapping the phone from his hand.

Simple Possession — Tyriana S. Lewis, 23, Bradford, Tenn., was charged with Simple Possession, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after a traffic stop on July 4.

Officer Steven Scott stopped Lewis’ vehicle for a light law violation. The officer indicated he could smell an odor similar to marijuana. Lewis was advised the vehicle would be searched and Lewis then attempted to throw some pills into the woods. The report indicates fentanyl, a Xanax bar, and residue was found on folded money.

Driving on Suspended License — Logan Jackson McCollum, 35, McKenzie, was charged with Speeding and Driving on a Suspended License on July 3.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped McCollum’s vehicle for speeding. A license check revealed the suspended license. McCollum was cited into General Sessions Court.

Driving on Revoked License — Monetavious D. Finch, 32, Paris, was charged with Driving on a Revoked License on July 1.

Officer Steven Scott stopped Finch’s vehicle for speeding. A license check revealed the revoked status for a prior DUI.

Outstanding Warrant — Brian Clay Fitzpatrick, 63, Birmingham Lane, McKenzie, was charged with Speeding, Violation of Financial Responsibility and Drug Paraphernalia on July 2.

Officer Steven Scott stopped Fitzpatrick’s vehicle for speeding. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe with a white residue. A license check revealed the outstanding warrant for his arrest.
