Active Warrant ­— Seth Andrew Cannon, 34, College Street, Gleason, was arrested on July 29 after an off-duty officer witnessed him as a passenger in a car and knew there was an outstanding warrant for him.

Officer Kyle Beauchamp stopped the vehicle driven by Amanda R. Jones, 30, of East Grove Road, Gleason. Jones’ license was revoked and she was arrested Driving on a Revoked License - Second Offense. She was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Cannon was taken into custody for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant in Weakley County. He was handed over to Weakley County authorities and transported to Weakley County Jail.

Theft — Mary Michelle Horton, 48, Walnut Circle, McKenzie was charged with Theft after she reportedly took items from a location that gives away clothing and household items.

Officer Timothy Dillon filed the report on July 30 stating that an employee of Cachengo identified Horton as the person who took items without permission and left the scene. MPD located her at a convenience store and transported her to Carroll County Jail.

Domestic Assault — Clinton Hoard, 37, Randle Street, McKenzie, was charged with Domestic Assault after he pushed a family member on July 30.

Officer Austin Jones filed the report indicating Hoard entered the home and pushed the male subject causing the victim to fear for his life. Hoard was transported to Weakley County Jail.

Failure to Appear — Angela N. Lane, 42, Hamilton Street, McKenzie was arrested for Failure to Appear in Weakley County court. Lane had blocked an intersection with the automobile she was driving on July 31.

Officer Dustin McClure filed the report indicating that she stated she did not know how to turn on the lights on the borrowed car. She was arrested on the outstanding warrant, and the car was towed from the scene.

Violation of Bond Condition — Christopher M. Hughes, Euclid Avenue, McKenzie, was arrested on a charge of Violation of Bond Conditions on July 31.

Officer Bryan Batchelder and Sergeant Cody Coleman arrived at the residence on Euclid, where Hughes was prohibited from visiting. Lt. Justin Brister witnessed Hughes’ vehicle at a Euclid Street address and officers spotted Hughes in the vehicle. After interviewing him, they chose to arrest him for Violation of Bond Conditions.

Public Intoxication, Possession of Controlled Substance — Luis A. Vallellanes, 48, Memphis was arrested on August 1 after he was found lying beside a pickup truck parked at a convenience store.

Officer Matthew Cunningham was dispatched to the store, where Vallellanes was found on the ground beside the truck. Officers were able to awaken him and determined he was intoxicated. A field sobriety test was administered and when officers arrested him, some white crystal-like substance was found on his person and a yellow powder believed to be Xanax. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
