McKenzie Responds to Citizens’ Requests for Property Clean-Up

Posted

McKenzie is blessed to have so many citizens who take tremendous pride in the city. On numerous occasions, we hear comments from visitors and those looking to relocate here about the pride you take in the upkeep and neatness of your homes and yards. However, almost daily, we receive calls from many of you who are working hard to keep your property neat and clean but there are other properties in your neighborhoods that are unkept and even unsafe.
We hear your concerns, and in order to address these issues that can damage a vibrant and safe neighborhood, the city is responding to your requests by increasing our clean-up efforts throughout McKenzie. As it will be more effective to focus our efforts on a section at a time, our codes enforcement has divided the city map into sections and will concentrate on a particular area before proceeding to the next area.
The first area will be all properties inside the perimeters of Highway 79, Hamilton, Thompson, the railroad tracks and South Oak St. However, all complaints and violations throughout the city will continue to be addressed. We look forward to working with you and doing our best to ensure you have a clean, safe, family-friendly neighborhood in which to live.
We encourage each of you to continue to let us know of properties that need attention as you and your family deserve the very best quality of life that we can give you.
