McKenzie School Board to Meet

The McKenzie Special School District’s first school board meeting for the 2021-2022 school year is August 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the McKenzie Board of Education building.

The board will install Jaden Barton as the new McKenzie Special School District Board of Education Student Board Representative, hear from Mayor Jill Holland and consider budget amendments.

They will consider approving amendments to emergency closings, security, summer school, enrollment in advanced courses, family life education, interscholastic athletics, graduation requirements, testing programs, application and employment, attendance and home school policies in the McKenzie Special School District Board of Education Policy Manual.

The board will consider school food service bids for produce from Volco/HPS/GFS, milk and milk products from Volco or Prairie Farms, ice cream products from Volco or Turner Dairy, food and non-food supplies from Volco or HPS and bread from Flowers Baking Co.

The meeting will conclude with a director’s report.
