McKENZIE (July 26) — The McKenzie Special School District School Board hosted its annual breakfast, catered by Mallards, Monday morning for all McKenzie Special School District faculty. The school board and administrators met in the McKenzie High School cafeteria at 8 a.m.

Monday’s breakfast begins teachers’ week-long training to prepare for the upcoming school year. Wednesday, the teachers participate in required professional development programs. For the remainder of the week, the principals will set their own needs for teachers. At the elementary school, for example, teachers will participate in early literacy training.
