McKENZIE (November 24) — Friday night’s game against Dresden started as if it would be the last game of the 2023 season, at least in the first half. At the half, the Lions were up 14-0 and were set to receive the second-half kickoff, the Rebels came out the second half dominating on both sides up the ball scoring 25 unanswered points. The 25-14 victory now pits the McKenzie Rebels against East Tennessee rivals the South Pittsburg Pirates for the TSSAA Football State Championship.
