Mock Crash Demonstration Scheduled in McKenzie

Posted

The Carroll County Office of Coordinated School Health and Carroll County Prevention Coalition are facilitating a mock vehicle crash for area high schools this month. This announcement serves as notification for the community of the upcoming event to prevent confusion.
Dispatchers will send emergency personnel to the scene of the mock crash which will be audible on law enforcement dispatch radios and rescue squad scanners.
The public should not mistake this event for a real crash – it is strictly a dramatization for students to educate them about the dangers of drinking and driving and distracted driving.

The mock crash in Carroll County is April 5, 9 to 10 a.m. at McKenzie Middle School.
The personnel of Carroll County Coordinated School Health thanks all school administrator who helped make this event possible and Dale’s Recycling of McKenzie for assisting along with the many emergency personnel and law enforcement involved.
Without the dedicated volunteers, this important event would not happen for local students.
