Murder Mystery Cocktail Party at Paris Country Club to Aid Healthcare Foundation

PARIS — Come as a flapper or come as you are.   Come as a gangster or a silent screen star.   It’s going to be fun no matter the dress, just bring yourself and we’ll do the rest!   Join the Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation as we roar into the 20s and transform Paris Country Club into Hal Sapone’s Grand Gatsby Speakeasy on Saturday, May 11.

The Healthcare Foundation invites you to a night of “who done it” fun as they host a Murder Mystery Cocktail Party starting at 6 p.m. The Krider Performing Arts Center crew led by Rhonda Stanton is directing the murder mystery event that will have several surprises during the evening including some period Speakeasy music.  There will be a wine pull, costume contest with prizes, as well as a complimentary champagne toast to kick off the festivities.

It’s the height of Prohibition in 1920s Chicago, and there’s a mob war brewing between the South Side Gangsters and the Northern Chicago Mob Outfit. The two ruthless crime leaders Hal Sapone and Beanie O’Dannon have finally reached an agreement on bootlegging practices in Chicago and have decided to pull together resources to undergo a collaborative effort with criminal endeavors. On the surface, this strategy seems similar to bailing out a sinking ship with tin cups, nevertheless.

Recently, gangsters from the north and south have been spotted together at various speakeasies throughout Chicago, but the tension in the air is always thick enough to be cut with a knife. However, this newfound relationship between the opposing mob bosses has served, thus far, to inhibit gratuitous bloodshed as in the past. Part of the success of this truce is that both crime bosses have found new dames, thereby intertwining more mutual relationships between the two factions.  The two gangs have set an official date to meet at Hal Sapone’s Grand Gatsby Speakeasy to resolve all remaining differences. Will these two underground organizations resolve their disputes or will a massive melee erupt, rekindling the fatal flames between them?

To be a part of this fun evening, you must secure one of the limited tickets at $25 a person which includes our Roarin’ 20’s hors d’oeuvres buffet. Everyone will have a role in the event by being part of the action or helping to solve the murder. There will be a cash bar at the event. Tickets can be purchased at Paris Country Club, Henry County Medical Center, Bo & Company, The Iron Place, or Maggie’s.

“Our spring fundraising committee has done an outstanding job of planning this new, fun event for the healthcare foundation,” said Tory Daughrity, HCMC Director of Marketing. “We are excited to be partnering with the Krider Performing Arts Center crew and are looking forward to transforming Paris Country Club into a speakeasy fundraising event that we believe anyone attending will enjoy.”

To become a sponsor of this event, purchase tickets or for more information, contact the Foundation at 731-644-8266 or by e-mail at tdaughrity@hcmc-tn.org. Tickets to the event are now online at www.hcmc-tn.org or you can pick one up at the locations mentioned above.
