 McKENZIE, Tenn. - A Celebration of Life for Oscar Raye Owen is Friday, September 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2019, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home and visitation on Friday is at the church 9 a.m. until service time. Internment is at Shiloh Cemetery.

Mr. Owen, 88 years old, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 21, 2019. He was born November 18, 1930 in Como, Tenn. to Robert Orlando and Katie Malinda Highfill Owen. He is a retired postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of First Baptist Church, McKenzie Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow, a Korean War Army veteran, and was presented the Bronze Star.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Elizabeth Travillian, and brothers, James Fleming Owen and Robert H. ”Bob” Owen.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Sara Kemp Owen, two sons, Dana Ray (Karen) Owen and Oscar Clayton (Mary) Owen, five grandchildren, Allison (Brian) Winston, Jacob Owen, Caleb (Alyssa) Owen, Sarah (Tyler) Davidson and Joshua Owen, and two great-grandchildren, Avery and Owen Winston.
