1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
Mix flour and sugar, then cut in 1/2 cup butter. Put into an ungreased 11x7 1/2x1/2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Beat eggs slightly, then stir in remaining ingredients. Pour over baked layer and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool until pecan layer is slightly firm before cutting into bars. Makes 32.
